Children
Heres the DEAL
http://www.heresthedeal.ca/info.aspDEAL: Developing Engaged Adolescent Leaders. It's an extension of the Children's Centre where youth who face mental health issues or want to support mental health can gather, learn, share, and program with their peers. In this positive space, youth have come together to outreach to others, plan a mental health conference, attend sessions on identified topics, and present to leaders.
The topics that they focus on are addictions, body image, depression, anxiety, and suicide. Their youth liaison group partners with Natural Helpers and the Youth Suicide Prevention Task Group. They communicate between regular meetings through email and facebook. Their facebook group was created to encourage any youth to recognize the great things they are doing and inspire more youth to get involved.
